Glow Plug Removal Kit UNI M8x1 with Thread Repair

During the removal of extremely seized glow plugs, the drive hex often breaks off. This tool removes the center contact in a few steps and bores out the glow plug mounting thread at the core diameter. The thread in the cylinder head is not damaged. A pull thread is then cut into the remaining glow element body and extracted from the glow plug bore with the help of a spindle. In a final operation, the mounting thread and the bore in the cylinder head are cleaned. If necessary, the sealing seat of the glow plug can be reworked using our special reamer.

Work steps:

• Remove center electrode
• Bore out glow plug thread
• Extract glow plug
• Clean glow plug bore with brush
• Re-cut mounting thread in cylinder head
