Special tool for mounting elastic serpentine belts of the coolant pump and auxiliary components. Engines equipped at the factory with these flexible serpentine belts do not require additional tensioner pulleys. However, mounting these elastic polyester-synthetic rubber belts cannot be performed without appropriate special tools. The mounting lever pushes the belt onto the impeller of the coolant pump. Installation of the new belt must be carried out via the coolant pump, as the crankshaft pulley is designed with too large a diameter.
