Description
Application:
During disassembly of extremely seized glow plugs, the driving hex often breaks off. However, the center contact of the glow plug, which remains firmly connected to the glow plug body, prevents the driving hex from being removed. With this tool, the center contact is removed in just a few steps, a threaded or impact centering is installed, and the glow plug fastening thread is drilled out precisely in the core diameter. The thread in the cylinder head is not damaged. The guidance system specifically developed for the OM642 enables precise drilling of the glow plug and simultaneously ensures process-reliable work for all repair steps.- Remove center electrode
- Drill out glow plug thread
- Extract glow plug
- Clean glow plug bore with brush
- Renew fastening thread in cylinder head
