To repair or replace damaged glow plug mounting thread.
In the case of slight damage, the fastening thread in the cylinder head can be recut with the thread regroover. The guide pin on the thread regroover ensures that the regroover is perfectly guided during the taping.
If the mounting thread is destroyed, the reamer is used to remove the damaged thread and prepare the hole is for tapping a new thread for the threaded insert. Afterwards a thread is tapped and the new threaded insert is installed with the special insert installing tool.
