When glow plugs are replaced, the glow plug bore should be cleaned with a special tool, as otherwise accumulated carbon deposits can lead to heat accumulation at the new glow plug and thus cause overheating. Another important step is to achieve optimal sealing again. This is achieved by reaming the sealing cone with the appropriate reamer. Tip: If the fastening thread needs to be renewed using a thread insert, the sealing seat should always be re-reamed and adjusted with the reamer.
