Glow Plug Extraction Set M10x1 e.g. for VAG

The VAG glow plug extraction tool enables the removal of defective glow plugs with broken hex head. The glow plugs of VAG engines are located in a tight bore in the cylinder head. For the various working steps required to bore out and extract the defective glow plug, long operating tools are therefore necessary among other things. If the fastening thread is defective, for these reasons a "standard" threaded insert M10x1 will not fit either, since the insert collar cannot fit into the cylinder head glow plug bore.

Working steps:

• removal of the center electrode
• boring out the fastening thread at core diameter
• installation of the extraction spindle thread
• removal of the glow plug
• cleaning of glow plug bore and glow channel
• renewal of the sealing seat
• installation of a new special VAG threaded insert M10x1
